Tele Bass VI?

Would a 28 5/8 scale guitar work with E-e tuning? I just noticed Guitar Fetish started making double bound black tele's (a la Syd Barrett):

and I've wanted a Bass VI for a while so I'm trying to merge the two ideas. I'm planning on a Warmoth baritone conversion neck but I'd rather not attempt to move the bridge or anything. Has anyone played something like this? Would I get an awesome fuzz monster or floppy low strings?

I've converted a Jazzmaster to baritone with a Warmoth neck. I tuned it to A, but it could do E-E, you'd just need to get at least .14's on it

Dano longhorn bass neck... drill two more holes... change nut... = BassVI tele... takes about a hour...

I might add that I have a 28 5/8" Warmoth neck on my bari. The low string is tuned to F, I'm using a .90 gauge bass string, and it's juuuust tense enough in my opinion. I don't think .14s (even like in the D'Addario baritone set I tried earlier on) would hold anything close to E-E tuning. Do the dano neck if you want a Bass VI. It's the 30" scale you'd need!
