I figure that if North Korea causes a big enough fuss for action, the UN will make some claim, it'll be ignored, the US will arm South Korea to the teeth with missile defenses, and we'll just drone the fuck out of their capital.

My dad worked for a defense contractor for the US and some of the stuff that was declassified before he left included missile defense systems the size of a suitcase that were built to protect airports from attacks by identifying incoming threats (like rockets and shit) and shooting them down before they could do any damage. I'm positive that we could just automate their border with that type of shit and wreck their shit without having to step foot in NK.

I don't support it, but it seems like a rational approach.

I'm not sure anyone is gonna do anything to North Korea, nor are they gonna do anything to anybody else beyond trying to look tough while begging for food. I mean, "tribute". Nobody wants to have to deal with cleaning up that country or deal with what will happen if the glorious north actually does blow up Seoul with their 1940's artillery.

But this thread was actually just made purely because I thought the nuke map was interesting after seeing it on another forum, there wasn't any political thing behind it. I forgot about all the wackiness that's going on because North Korea routinely pulls this kinda shit. You should read their news headlines for some real lulz.

I actually went back and played around with that thing. Apparently it would take an absurdly large bomb placed anywhere important to hit where I am.

Anything 1 Mt or bigger dropped on downtown Providence would really suck for me. If the target were Boston, it would have to be 50 Mt to hit me.

Drop a b-83 on the town square, and I'm within the 20 psi zone. Where I live is considered to be on the outskirts of Denton.

Denton is hella small.

Living less than a mile from the White House means that I would likely die an immediate death, which I think is better than slowly perishing from radiation poisoning.
