I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum but here we go! I recently had my Carvin VL-100 Head re-tube with 6L6's and for some reason I'm getting a bad hum, I found that the only time it hums is when I use my planet waves cables from pedal board the amp (front). I just replaced the planet waves cable with a cheaper store brand cable and it stopped,....weird. I was curious if anyone else has had this issue with PW cables.

It's probably just a grounding issue and COULD happen with any brand.
Chances are if you would have replaced the Planet Waves cable that was causing the hum
with a different Planet Waves cable it would have stopped the hum too.

It's weird because both planet wave cables made it hum (???)

I just replaced some cheapo cables with Planet Wave cables. I think it helped but I also removed a few pedals and my previous cables were longer and fairly thin and crappy so that's probably why my board sounded so bad before.
Although the PW cables don't make the same horrible noise as the cheapo's when they move around.
