this makes me think of the time i put a drunk friend of mine on a leash to walk him to an after hours party and he went running out the front door not knowing that its extension was limited to 20 feet then got clotheslined by it as he flew back flat off my front porch into the lawn...

i try to avoid politics whenever possible, as you may have noticed around here lately. i ned to take some time and figure out what in the world to do.

is there work in Columbus that isn't gobbled up by college students? IIRC a friend of mine who used to live in NYC is there now.

good news: i found out that i can get enough money by liquidating my IRA to get the truck fixed and hang on for awhile.i still need to be considering options, but the knife is off my throat for the moment.

cbus was just named one of the top seven intelligent communities in the world. partially because of 29,000 jobs having been created in the past two years. most of my friends work for design firms, hospitals, teach school or music or work in bars & restaurants. none of 'em are college kids.

they don't seem to have day-labor stuff here, other than places for illegal immigrants to hang out looking for yardwork. i could check around more. i've done the Manpower thing in the past, and if i could hook up with something like that i'd be a happy kitty. (TWSS PREEMPTIVE STRIKE!)

right now i have to crash, though...i'm afraid i'm getting sick from being out in the Stalingrad-esque weather we were having yesterday. seriously, it's been years since i dealt with these conditions and my sinuses were locked up like a vault by the time i finally got home.
