The shaving thread

I'm very fed up with my gilette fusion razor. I have very sensitive skin and it just drags across my face. As with most razors, however, some people swear by it.
I've been looking into different safety razors and there are just too many options to know what I should get.
I was hoping we could discuss what razors ILF uses, and maybe even temp trade them if you have a spare?
I have a gillette fusion and a barbers safety razor if anybody wants to try them out. I have fresh cartridges/blades for both.
And yes I know how many people on here have beards so maybe its not the best forum but alas you guys are the only people I'd trust

Oh, dude, wassup, wsas3?
All safety razors are more or less the same.
This's what you need:

Along with some way better shaving cream. Also, it's all about the technique.

I just use cheap disposables... Works great for me.

Shaving fucking sucks, luckily I work a crappy blue-collar job where I don't need to look tidy.
I used to use Gillette triple blades, but they gave me all sorts of ingrown hairs and bumps and shit. Switched to disposable twin or single blades, with improved results. Cheaper too.

Most of those 5 blade Gillette's fucking suck, hate 'em.
I much prefer the Mach 3 turbo, or better yet the old sensor that had 2 blades.
If you have steady hands, nothing beats a straight.

I like the disposible BiC Metal, which is a single-blade with a rounded-wire guard rather than the usual ribbed plastic and which has a thinner head than usual, allowing me to navigate around the nose and lips more easily. unfortunately, they don't appear in the stores too often nowadays.
i fucking HATE shaving, but with a beard i look like Ted Kasczynski's crazy cousin, so i'm kind of stuck with it.

I don't always shave, but when I do I use a Gillette Mach 3.
Usually I'll just trim down with a cheap Wahl trimmer.
Never had a problem with either. Not a huge fan of the M3, but it gets the job done. If I ever start shaving daily I would go for a safety razor. People shaved that way without a problem for many years, no reason to use more than one blade now.
But I haven't really shaved in months. It's been a month since my last trim.

Chank: Whats up bruh-bruh? I've been lurking but I'm just so busy I don't have much time to piece together my thoughts into words once I get home. I'm pretty good with a DE but honestly I'm very lazy and just prefer to get it over with as quickly as possible.
I tried a mach 3 and its good, but still a bit of burning, and I know it's not my technique. I want to try the sensor or atra really badly, but I'm budgeting mad hard as of recent so I can't just go through trial and error.

I'm telling you, just get an old school single blade safety razor like the one I posted a pic of above.
I've got sensitive skin too and I've never had a problem using one of those.
Don't use shaving cream from a can either. That's the worst. Get yourself some quality shaving cream. It makes a huge difference.

I'm honestly about to buy a DE, they're cheap as shit and based on what you're saying it seems like the smartest choice economically.

I only shave part of my neck and I generally use the Schick Hydro 5. I have real sensitive skin and my facial hair is very thick/coarse, which doesn't help. I have real sensitive skin and tried many different razors. I tried to take the Fusion Challenge and it was the worse shave experience I've have encountered.
Also, I don't use shaving cream. Shave soaps and synthetic brushes all day. Of course, by all day I mean once or twice a month. I'm thinking about trying safety razors or straight razors. I'm probably going to decapitate myself. Oh well. As long as skully promises to use the picture for a black metal album, I'm fine with it.
Fuck shaving. Beard life.
