Beaten To Death With A Guitar

I was just chatting about this with my girlfriend as we were getting out of bed... usual morning conversation.

How many people in the history of the world have been beaten to death with a guitar? She said under 10... and I can't really even think of what kind of situation it would be.

Anyone know any tales?

I saw Scott Weiland grab a guitar and jump down off the stage and hit a fan over the head back in 93. But he didn't kill him. I don't think. I know Scott got sued by that fan later that year.

More than 10 for sure. You just have to be creative with your searching.

Like this lady I found through a Google Archive search in a book called Headless Man in Topless Bar:

"Susan Laing, 29, was a waitress at a number of strip clubs in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. One weekend in mid-September, 1995, when her truck driver husband was out of town, Laing brought a man named James Landrum home with her. Whether she picked him up at the club or not is unclear. At any rate, he beat her to death with a guitar and stole her red 1984 Fiero."

Henry Guitar, an Omaha Indian, Kills His Father by Stamping Him to Death

DECATUR, Neb., Sept. 19.-- A brutal murder took place on the Omaha Indian reservation Saturday night in which Henry Guitar, aged 22, killed his father, Stephen Guitar, kicking him to death.

The elder Guitar, a half-caste French Indian, had returned.... blah blah blah.

Technically, he was beaten to death with a Guitar... but I don't think it fits.

See, I was thinking heavy and blunt is going to do the most damage. Something like a les paul.

This is a great thread.
