While yes, a total dick move.

Problem is resolved with compensation.

Be honest with the buyer and hopefully they'll understand.

Either way, you're keeping the amp anyway.

Yeah, I listed it like 5 times and was suspecting that it wouldn't sell until someone ended up getting it in the last hour.

uhhh, I'm pretty sure I disagree...it sounds like you made the decision to sell the amp 5 times. I kinda think of listing as the "point of no return." The person actually paying is even further.

:idk: I mean, don't be surprised if he writes a scathing review on your ebay account, or just expects you to send it anyway.

You could always turn it around and buy something better. I mean you DO have the money (when it comes through).

I would feel bound by putting it up for sale. You can try and talk the buyer out of it, but it's his/her decision ultimately. I would feel disrespectful and dishonourable if I refused to sell at a time past the actual sale.

I know a total dick move. Anyway, the guy is understanding about it and I apologized a thousand times in my message.

I seriously wasn't expecting it to sell and kind of forgot about it. I had the listing as an organize your own Courier because I was wanting a local pickup. When the previous seller sent it to me, the amp was damaged during shipping and I had to pay extra money to have the thing repaired after the seller never responded. I guess that I feel responsible for the thing now.

Not excusing the fact that I'm kind of an arse in this case.
