Taking a trip to Colorado

I'll be staying in Pagosa Spring, CO for about 5 days. I'll be leaving from North Texas. Drive is about 12 hours.
Anywho I haven't looked around at stuff to do yet, any locals or people familiar with the area have some suggested with what to do/what to see? I plan to spend a day skiing but that's all I have planned.
i need to see if there's any cool shows that week in colorado

Don't get down there too much. There's a hot spring and that's about it. it's like an hour or two away from Mesa Verde National Park. Cool ass old Anasazi Cliff Dwellings and shit. but yeah. not much else.
I think they have a brewery or something too now? dunno.

Mesa Verde is a totally awesome experience... I went there twice as a kid and still have dreams about it... You can also stop in Durango and ride the Mountain Train around...

drive and find man. i <3 colorado, gorgeous state. if you were headed to denver i'd drop friends there a line & ask for suggestions. (& no, none of what i just said is about pot.)

Denver is 5 hours away, but who knows! pretty open to anything currently
