Is it crows, ravens, or sparrows that are bad luck? I'm finding conflicting sources.

Side not on what this is for: I had been thinking about this for a while, but I've more or less been convinced recently that I want to get a tattoo. What I would get is a design made up of symbols for bad luck.

Sweeping someones feet
Putting a hat on a bed
Sitting in a wheelchair when you are ok
Wearing the wrong gang colors
Seeing the Bride
Not touching a screw when running a yellow light
Not making the sign of the cross when driving by graveyards
Staring at blind people
Not having black eyed peas on New Years Day
Getting Friday the 13th tattoos

Some of these are probably just Southern things... I know there are more, I can hear old ladies saying "no mijo that's bad luck" but I can't remember them all...

isn't there some bad luck thing with digital clocks too, like seeing times like 12:34 or 5:55 and not touching the clock?

re: bad luck tattoos, i have thirteen threes around my left bicep. goofy but it's my favorite number and i have some good luck and some very bad luck...

I like 11:34 because if you turn it upside down it HELL O'CLOCK!

9 is also bad luck in Japan (pronounced ku, same as to suffer)
Don't pass food from one set of chopsticks to another -- they do this with cremated bones apparently
