It broke a box off record on Friday for $37.5 million so if you go by sales alone it's a hit. However I've read it's way too long and they look like Teletubbies... I'm personally still on the fence about wanting to see it or not.

sooooo.... i'm not the target audience because i didna like LotR. bored me.
but the Hobbit fucking SUCKED. boring, slow, half the cg looked like shitting vidja games, it was bloodless and felt like it was written for 9 year olds with all the songs and sophomoric NOT FUNNY "humor".
i.... i didn't like it.

To be fair, the book is a children's book. It's not supposed to be Lord of the Rings.
Buuut I loved the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings as books, loved the LotR movies, but will not be seeing the Hobbit in theatres. I don't think it will be worth the money.

Like a hot drillbit
driving me insane
on LOR
Again FS knows!
I still say the orcs in this were more scary and believable in this then Jackson's...

Wait for someone to walk out the backdoor, then go right on in. I do it all the time, makes movies WAAAYYYY more enjoyable knowing you didn't pay for them. It's what I did last night, which coincidentally was The Hobbit.
I liked it. I eat that wizard mystical fantasy shit up, though. However, I do agree with Behndy. The humor was a bit lame, and I think in 15 (if not less) years LOTR and these Hobbit movies will not age well because of all the dang CGI.
