It's a fucked situation. The consequences of said situation, regardless of the path taken after the affair in either direction, are 1000% harder to live with. You've either got a guilty concious if you're the one that's done it and don't confess, trust issues if you're the one on the 'cheated' side, or either way a giant mess that isn't worth it, at all.

i know this is going to sound cheesy but, if it's in the name of love than it depends.
if it means everyone involved will be truly happy when all is said and done (it's a pretty terrible thing when people are married who don't really like each other)

a friend of mine is married. right now their relationship is ruins, i won't go into detail.
i've known her for about 10 years
and i think deep down i've always truly loved her more than i love myself
and sometimes i think she feels the same
in the past she's said certain things hinting at being together
and there are moments where it feels like it would be right to do
but i don't know... nothing has happened yet.

thats why i say, it depends. maybe you can say that for almost any situation.
