Just wondering if anyone has had the chance to compare both of these fuzzes in their rig?

Based on some of the YouTube vids, The Pharoah appears to have more options/flexibility but the Hoof seems to be able to dial in a great sound easily.

I ended up ordering a Pharoah, but now Im second guessing my decision. I'm really digging the clarity of the Dream Crusher I picked up recently I'll have to put the Pharoah up against my other fuzzes and report back.

i have & love 'em both. your description via youtube is pretty good, though the hoof is capable of plenty of different sounds, just depends on what you prefer, per usual.

The same friend that turned me on to EQD stuff also recommended the Pharoah. The first vid I checked out made the Pharoah sound like "Black Sabbath in a box", which could be perfect for those moments that I feel like making some Doom/Stoner sounds

My current EQD lineup is: Speaker Cranker > Dream Crusher > Bit Commander > Hummingbird

The Pharoah and an Organizer should be showing up in my mailbox today.

Other fuzzes that I have on hand are: Soul Bender and Octafuzz in the large boxes, and an early Prescription Experience. So far, I'm finding the EQD fuzzes to be more "user friendly" than the Soul Bender or Experience.

As space6oy said, both are awesome, and while there's some overlap they're quite different.
Hoof is a fantastic russian muff with increased clarity and the ability to BOOST as well as scoop the mids. Pharaoh is very flexible and capable of a wide range of fuzz tones, with massive amounts of low-end and character options. Pharaoh is not a good option for low volume/bedroom practice amp jams, it really needs to be opened up. Take the time to really massage and figure out how the tone and hi controls work.
I'm a massive EQD fan, and it's true they are very user friendly and play well with others...try stacking your SC or DC into your new Pharaoh, and stand back

I own a pharoah, it's a great pedal. I don't think the two are alike at all. I found the pharoah a little cleaner and quieter in terms of output. There's a lot of range in there too. I think we were both going for something different while using the same starting point.

That EQD fuzz comparison vid is what helped me decide on getting the Dream Crusher. It's a great reference! (On a side note, the DC run into the Bit Commander makes some glorious noise!)

I've only had one chance to fiddle with the Pharoah so far, but switched to the Silicon setting with a dropped-D tuning, I started "head banging" immediately

I should probably listen to the Hoof/Hoof Reaper vids through a real set of headphones to get a better idea of the low-end response.

I think the Dream Crusher is a little bit more responsive to dynamic player, and to dialing back the fuzz with your volume knob. You get some of that with the Hoof but definitely not as much. And that is not taking away anything from the Hoof, the Hoof is definitely great in its own way. My friend has both the Hoof and Dream Crusher. He never plays the Hoof, he always goes to the Dream Crusher. At the same time he says he will never take the Hoof off his board, because it is an awesome pedal. Butch, I think you made the right decision with the Pharaoh. I use the Hoof and I love it, but I think the Hoof and Dream Crusher can be a little too similar to own both. Admittedly, I wasn't playing them at a loud volume, but I had to click back and forth a few times before I got a real sense of the differences. The Hoof is awesome, but I think the Pharaoh will give you a lot more variety, since you have the Dream Crusher.
