My parents asked me to make a list of things I'd like as gifts this year. I'm curious as to what the ILF court of opinions think I should ask for. It could be almost anything music related or not. Here are some things to keep in mind, although I'd be open to totally new things too.

I play bass, guitar, drums, and mandolin
I'm into recording and live sound engineering
I collect records, cassettes, and CD's
I build guitar pedals
I like Horror movies alot
I read "A clockwork Orange" and "Naked Lunch" over the summer
I think I know what I want, but that's only what I think

In terms of prices and such, less than $300 per item probably. As in if you suggested something amazing that was $300, that would be my only gift this year. $100ish per item is a better price though. Whatever you guys think could be cool throw it at me.

i don't know if i'd suggest guitar/bass/drums gear (i don't mean pedals) because that's such a personal/expensive choice...for example, your folks aren't going to know what kind of cymbals you want unless you give them specific instructions, and you'd want to go to the drum shop and try them yourself.

perhaps a CD box or a set of DVDs which you're into...if you like horror, or anime, or documentaries you're golden, as you are if you want one of those box sets which compile several years' worth of albums. i'd stand on my head until my face turned purple for a Queen box.

Honestly I didn't mean my "treating you like a man" comment to be that caustic. I guess if I would have put a on there it would have come across better.


It's funny sometimes the kind of reactions we get here on ILF... I often get undesreved when I was being semi-serious and vice versa.

But really guys, what do i want?

And perhaps my parents will spend $300 on me, if it's super bitchin I wouldn't mind paying for part of it, or my parents will ask my relatives for money to buy me something as a group gift.
