Can you compare it to any of the older Bond movies for us? or even Casino Royale?

I liked it. Definitely better than the last 2 imo.

i hated the last one, kinda adored the first Craig Bond movie. i'm not really into the Bond stuff though.

but seemed like everything they avoided in the first Craig movie that made the other Bond'uns seem shitty the dumped all into the last one. BLEGH.

I wish the newer Bond movies didn't have the Bond moniker. Cuz then they'd just be mediocre action movies.

It's pretty good. The fight in the dark skyscraper is a beautiful action scene. What they did with the Bond Girl was funny and of course it's great how they nod ironically to the old movies. Javier Bardem is awesome as the Joker without a painted face.

On the other hand there are the horribly cheesy scenes. I liked it despite these.

Bond's always been kinda cheesy though. I'd see it if it wasn't like $30 for a movie here...

But yeah, I agree with phantasmo, it's a really nicely shot film, some great scenes and some not so good, but imo great performances from the main cast.
