See, when it said "race" I assumed it was actually correct in that there is only one race of humans, and that is the human race. We have folk of different ethnicities and religious pursuit, but we're all in the same race

Not everyone sees it like that, but I think some of those statements were intended to provoke a strong response.

The generally accepted view is that we are one species but quite a few different races (subspecies). "Generally accepted" in the same sense that evolution is "generally accepted". The questions are for sure designed to slant people left. I'd be shocked if anyone came out leaning right.

There are definitely some issues with leading questions (though how could there not be?), and it might help if the test were about 6 pages longer, but hey, I'm in!

I really didn't like some of those questions. The religion ones, for example, have nothing to do with being politically left or right, authoritarian or libertarian, so what the fuck are they doing there? Also the one about a single-party state having the advantage of not having to find a compromise so it can get stuff done faster. That's not an opinion, that's just a fact. And lots of the others seemed phrased in ways that led you to answer in a specific way, or at least polarise answers.

Plus there's the fact that this scale isn't really that good.

Read the thing. The left/right scale is economic, and the libertarian/authoritarian scale is social. So that question would rank the social scale, and if you agree, it'd probably list you as more authoritarian.

A lot of the questions were basically talking points, but they came from both sides, so I'm pretty sure that was intentional and not just bias. Although, I don't really get why some questions didn't have an "oh, fuck off" option.

And look at the results......I mean......Ron Paul would be well on his way to securing this thing if this thing were accurate.....the idea behind these things (and there are convservative slanting ones out there) is to target the undecided voter and make them think they lean more to one side than they really do. As stupid as it sounds, an undecided voter at this point is even more stupid. You'd be surprised how effective it is. But much in the same way a person who claims Fox News is unbiased and Bill O is a No Spin Zone (they're probably too republican to see it), anyone entrenched in there side won't be able to see the slant here.

The only question it was missing would be one of the lame talking points people have been trying to harp on, lately, like "How strongly would you like to eviscerate Big Bird?"
