Pickups suggestions?

Okay so I wanna change the pickups on my Phantom Teardrop. The guitar does not really open up if that makes any sense, it also sound a bit thin.
I am in love with my Jazzmaster and the way it sounds, and want everything to sound like it...
Any tips for pickups in that vein that would fit in holes for smaller (normal sized) singlecoils??
The other thing i have considered is putting lipstick pick ups in it, as I enjoy the Seymour Duncan ones in my Danelectro.
All input is appreciated....
This is the guitar by the way:

Lipsticks are sweet. Or P90s in single coil form. Or maybe both!

Yeah I think a few manufacturers make them. I think Seymour Duncan is one of them!

No problem dude. I'm sure you could probably go the super expensive boutique route if you wanted too, I just don't know any builders off the top of my head haha

P90s are single coils. I think you mean smaller than normal p90s, skullservant.
Lipsticks'll definitely be more open sounding.
I think you might have a hard time finding pickups that just drop in without any body work, myrrh.
It might be easier to get somebody to rewind those to the specs you desire.

That probably pretty pricey right? Besides I dont know of anyone who does that near where I live.
The shop I went to also mentioned Jaguar pickups, but I dont really have any experience with those.
Do any of you have a link to some of those small p90s?
Lipsticks seems like the best option so far maybe?

Rio Grande strat sized p90:

Yeah, depending on who you get to rewind the pickups, it could be pricey.
It could also be pricey to route out the guitar to fit whatever pickups you wanna drop into it.
Instead of rewinds, you can have someone wind brand new pickups that'll fit into your pickup covers.
I've no experience with either of these pickup builders, but they might be willing to do it:
http://thecreamery.posterous.com/http://www.bg-pups.com/mm90.htmlYou could at least talk to them about it and get quotes.
Lipsticks do seem like they might more easily fit in what you've got. Maybe?
