like the early movies, grossed out by the plonking-the-adopted-daughter thing.

I'm a fan of his earlier films as well.

I love the elements of physical comedy in 'em.

Although as far as his post-Annie Hall output goes, I like Stardust Memories a bunch.

His recent movies are still enjoyable (if a little formulaic).

Roberto Benigni is amazing (as always) in the new one.

Too bad Allen Woody's dead because a bass/clarinet duo called "Allen Woody Allen" would've been awesome.

as a film minor, I think the man has changed the film industry. that being said, I've only seen one of his films, Match Point, and I thought it was ok. Only redeeming factor was seeing Scarlett Johansson whore it up all over the screen, which is something I don't mind watching.

Check out Annie Hall and Manhattan.

Match Point is a great film, but it's definitely "Lesser Allen."

These are the two I've seen thus far and I've really enjoyed both of them a lot. Some of the cinematography in Manhattan is absolutely gorgeous.
