i saw that article. All I can imagine is that we start importing pigs/bacon from other countries just like oil.

doot doot doootooootttt doootttt dottt doot... This just in; with the upcoming Holiday season closing in fast Farmers Nation wide are experiencing a Massive Shortage of Turkeys... More and more Turkeys are being used for Bacon and this is causing a 666% price increase on raw Turkey Flesh... Be prepared for a Sad Thanksgiving folks... British farms are already massively subsidised, they want more just for bacon?
Dunno what i'm gunna do... continue being veggie and laugh at people that get all weird that I don't eat bacon after years of people complaining about it/taking the piss when I never make mention of there enjoyment of meat ? Oh yeah, that.
(That is true, I cook meat for friends if they eat at mine, purely so I know what's clean but I don't stop 'em and i'm happy to do so or add meat to veggie meals I cook them, no qualms... I hate preachy veggies, but I can laugh at meat eaters if I want now.)
