A soldier and his squirrel.
Soldiers in Belarus found a little squirrel and brought it to the Warrant officer.
The squirrel was very weak and about to die, so the officer took care of it and fed it like a baby every four hours.
Three months ago the guy left the army and now works as a taxi driver and the squirrel is always in his pocket no matter where he goes!

One time about a year ago a classmate while I was in college had a similar situation with a squirrel, he brought it to class tucked into a bandana he had around his neck so it could sleep. I pet the Squirrel and the next day I got sick :(

 yeh as cute as wild animals can be, they can be riddled with all sorts of bacteria and filth.

That squirrel is damn cute, but, yeah, wouldn't wanna catch any bubonic plague or anything.

Geeez that's about the sweetest cutest thing I've ever seen... I'd risk a squirrel-borne illness to let that lil guy snooze on me...

Keep in mind before thinking disease, a stray cat can carry just as much crap as a wild squirrel. A squirrel in a pet environment is really not any different than a house cat. A vet check and a bath goes a long way. :poke:

It's difficult to give your pet a bath when you've got the bubonic plague. :D

I used to go feeding birds and squirrels here in a park where they are generation after generation about as domesticated as cats. It's a little wonder there's no reported issues with rabies or something horrible like bird flu but no. :idk: Once a cute little bastard followed me a long way to see if I still had that saltless bread crumbs and peanuts left. He ran away and stashed all I gave, and returned for more, smart little fellow.

I have been feeding pigeons, thousands of them for years. But there was one, a beautiful bird, pure white with light grey tips on its wings; that one was different. It was a female. I had only to wish and call her and she would come flying to me. I loved that pigeon as a man loves a women, and she loved me. As long as I had her, there was a purpose to my life.
