SIM card question

Has anyone ever moved their sim card to a new phone? I went swimming in the ocean with my iphone in my pocket, buy my buddy has an older phone I can use until I get a new phone (iphone 5!!!!). So can I just put my sim card in and go on my merry way? Or is there something else I need to do?

As long as the phone is from the same provider I think you should be fine.

Yeah any GSM phone should be able to take a sim card. so T-mobile and ATT should be compatible.
