My First TELEMASTER (ALL DONE)

So, I must thank MEC and CBA for their ideas and contribution to my GAS.
I'm putting together a Pine Frankentele.
This is the body. TELEMASTER NOW. Staining Ebony

Going to use the old neck off my Squier Jazzmaster (since the baritone neck will be on the Jazzmaster)

Using Amber barrel knobs

Black pickguard, flat, not gloss.
Chrome hardware.
The only places I'm a little torn are in the pickup selection and the bridge.
MEC's neck only pup looked sexy. Thinking about going that route for something different and simple.
Different, and simple. I play black metal with sludge. But I also play post rock. I'm not saying that this guitar has to cover everything. But I would like to have fun playing it.
I'm NOT going for this:

Going to have a Phat Cat P90 in the neck. Dats fo sho. Output is 7.98k
EDIT: Narrowed down the options, here's what I'm torn between

You want to play black metal on a tele?
Isn't it more something like this you need?

But how about a telepaul?

Well I've been playing black metal on a Jazzmaster for the past few months. Anything is possible

I'd put the Baritone neck on the Tele and leave the Jazzy alone.

It crossed my mind a time or two most definitely! I just play the Jazzmaster literally EVERY day and figured I could make it even more amazing by putting the Bari neck on it haha It's been my DREAM to have a bari Jazzy

Watch the neck pocket fit. Tele isn't directly compatible with Strat/Jazzy and vice versa. Tele has a flatted neck end and pocket, as opposed to rounded for the Strat and Jazzy. People make it work, but I can't tell you how they modify things to make it all fit.

Thanks for the heads up man. I'm not positive, but I think it involved some sanding and maybe a sandpaper shim

I voted for the splittable bucker 'cause I almost bought one of those P-rails...
This'll be awesome no matter the pickup.

Do you think if I used just one P-Rail I could still get true humbucking instead of using a pair?

I believe so...seems like it's either using both coils in humbucking mode, or one of the coils individually.

MMMMMM. That sounds awesome. I think I'm sold on it after listening to some demos. Single Coil, P90, and Humbucker in one. Hol-ly-sheet.

Updated the poll with my thoughts in pickups, a little more narrowed down, vote up!

Jazzmaster neck in a Tele pocket should work just fine. Think of a Strat neck as basically a Tele neck with the sides rounded off a bit. So there will be a little gap where the rounded heel doesn't match up to the flat pocket, but it should still fit in there and the holes should match up just fine and the scale length should be correct if everything's drilled to Fender specs. Going the other way around is a little more difficult, had to flatten the back of my Jazzmaster's neck pocket to fit a Tele neck.
If it were me I'd just be doing a regular Tele pickup setup. But I really want a plain Tele right now even though the last thing I need is another guitar. Having a very decent Squier Jazzmaster neck does make it hard not to look for a good deal on a body.

That's good to know, thanks for that. Glad to hear its just a little rounded and nothing serious, and that slight gap won't bother me at all.
I'd thought about going straight tele route for the twanginess and just to have something different. Hell, if I hate the P90 in the neck, I could always swap it for a Tele stock neck pup and DEFINITELY know it would fit haha
