Geranium Fuzzes

Got an EQD Dreamcrusher and love it. Now that has made it's way into my board I'm beginning to dislike the fact that it only takes a battery. Any similar pedals you guys would recommend, preferably with less over more knobs? Or just some pointers on dealing with a battery fueled pedal?

can you just run it first? then it'll only drain when you're plugged in. most Fuzz Faces want to see the signal first anyway.

lots of other Fuzz Face and FF-ish pedals out there, but lots of people think they sound better with battery power.

there are also several companies that make these with one of the pots doubling as an on/off switch. I could list some, but they're all a bit more expensive than the Dream Crusher, I believe.

Just get used to the battery. Nö joke. There are some Pedals that just work better that way. You could Even harm them with wrong daisy chains...

Maybe just a newer version of the Dreamcrusher? http://www.earthquakerdevices.com/shop/dream-crusher/

It looks like they now take a 9V tap so long as you heed the warning:
Earthquaker Website wrote:THIS PEDAL HAS A POSITIVE GROUND. DO NOT USE A DAISY CHAIN STYLE POWER SUPPLY. IT HAS BEEN WIRED TO ACCEPT A STANDARD 9V DC POWER SUPPLY WITH A NEGATIVE CENTER 2.1MM BARREL. DO NOT USE A REVERSE POLARITY POWER SUPPLY. IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT MEANS, SEND US AN EMAIL BEFORE POWERING UP.

Power by 9v Battery or any standard 9 volt DC power supply with a negative center 2.1mm barrel.

I plan on getting the Hawk, soonish... Just picked up an Ovation Viper for dirt cheap so gotta deGAS for a little. I think I am just going to move my tuner mid board and stick with the battery. I have always been nervous moving a tuner further back but have done some research and it doesn't seem it will affect the signal too much. Thanks for all the responses.

You can use a battery snap for a power supply - just make sure it's isolated ala Voodoo labs PP. If it's not isolated, it can and will short out the chain.
