I FUCKING HATE AUTO FILTERS

I need a basic, resonant multimode filter that I can sweep with an expression pedal. NO ENVELOPES, unless I can completely bypass that sumbitch. Any suggestions?

For some reason, I clicked on this thread thinking it was gonna be about some type of automobile filter. Like an oil filter or something.

Oh! Before we go any further, I have a bunch of modular stuff already but I need something small that I can step on. Like a child.

Yeah, I was thinking you wanted it in stompbox form, but you didn't say that.
I think you're gonna have a hard time finding a multimode filter as a stompbox.
Snazzy FX Tracer City?
Can't really think of anything else that might fit the bill. You might have to go rack.

I fucking love filters on guitars.

Been thinking about doing some parallel processing with a bunch of filters.

Oh, I thought of another one: KNAS Ekdahl Moisturizer
(Not sure that's exactly what you're looking for though.)

How am I wrong and the Ekdahl is a spring reverb... If the op already has lots of modular why not use that???

The Ekdahl is a spring reverb, but, oh, so much more.
I dunno, I just answer questions. I'd use the modular stuff.

Using the modular works fine at home, but I'd like something that I can carry around with my other pedals and stomp on without having to worry too much. Essentially, I'm just looking for a basic filter module in a pedal, with knobs for all the standard controls (cutoff/reso/mode, possibly input/output gain) as well as a CV input. Everything I've looked at in pedal form is geared towards gormless chumps who want to play hideous autowah-funk bulltwang - hence the title. There's the Moogerfooger, but I'm not particularly enamoured with the Moog filter (sue me) and it only does lowpass. Something like
this with a stomp and an expression jack added would be perfect.

Too much... Ask someone to make one...
Just route a Monotron through a loop pedal...

That's what I was gonna suggest. Either get somebody to rehouse a synth module or get one custom built into a stompbox enclosure.
That way you'll get exactly what you want.
