Not the sexiest but it sounds great. I make it a point to play any guitar out of a Deville or some other nice Fender amp to get the sound I imagine they are "suppose" to sound like, which is subject. Then I play it out those practice amps that everyone makes. Marshall MGs, Peavey Vypyrs and that Acoustic line. It sounded good out of all of 'em. The P-90s sound how they should, which is also relevant to opinion, but in my opinion it was great. Chords are awesome on it...and something I read is that the lack of finish effects tonality, but I'm a bit skeptical, but it makes sense.
Try one out for sure. It's not a disappointing guitar. The hardtail thing is only a big deal if you absolutely need a vibrato. Most that bands I see playing these guitars only use them for freakouts and not for the more structured part of the songs.

YOU JUST LIKE WOOD...
The dark one is pretty in person but I cant handle a SG bridge on a Fender... So Wrong...
But the P90's are so right...
STUPID BRIDGE...

Good to know, thanks man. I was just looking around for a secondary guitar that could take some abuse so that's why I asked.

I've only played one in GC. The P90s were decent. but for a little more I would get the Epi 1956 LP. That guitar really growls, and might actually even be lighter than the Jag. It was surprisingly heavy.

I think the design is really cool and I seem to be the only one who likes that deep brown natural finish. It's a really sleek, minimal guitar... but that STRAT JACK! Yep, we've said the same thing in other threads, but still.
Still don't know why they call that a Jaguar instead of a Jazzmaster. It's more of a Jazzmaster.
Anyway, yeah, it's Fender's version of a mahogany Les Paul or SG with P-90s. I have a Gibson LP Faded Special DC with P-90s (ABCDEFG12345678), and it's basically the same thing. But better.
Long discussion here, but probably before anyone played one:

Probs the scale length.^^DERP
But fuck that strat jack.
I'd buy one of the Squiers in one of the sexy-as-hell lighter colors. And then use the money you saved to paint the headstock.
