Should I go see it? I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews. If it's mainly just cool cinematography, I'll wait the two months until it goes to the theatre i can see it for a buck :thumb:

AND it can boost my indie cred if i don't watch it right? :poke:

Am thinking back and realizing there's really nothing interesting about Christian Bale's Batman. The character acts completely spontaneously with little actual development or continuity and, like Bale, I'm not at all sure why I should like him at all. Apart from some highly generic faux-insights at convenient plot points, there's really nothing there.

Not to mention Nolan does subtlety much better than over-the-top shenanigans.

Uh...I saw this on Thursday morning for a special pre-screening and I thought it was the most epic movie I've seen in a very, very long time. Christian Bale is a PHENOMENAL actor. Haters gonna hater, but he's my top male actor. Bane made this one though. Fucking bad ass dude.

I totally disagree with everything snipelfritz said.

Also, how the fuck is he generic? Seriously? Have you seen any of his movies? That's not only absurd but blatantly stupid.

Doing a full-on Batman marathon this Wed - watching the first two on a friend's uberTV, then going to see the new one in the theater (in IMAX if possible). My brain should be total mush by the end of the night, but it will be epic.

Went to the marathon Thursday night, def. worth seeing in theaters.

Going back to see it in Imax soon...should be totally worth it.

Yeah, what the heck? I can understand saying his Batman isn't very exciting, I agree his character development is kinda non-existent. But, c'mon man! The Mechanic, and American Psycho are great movies. He was also pretty decent in The Fighter, though I didn't really care for the movie.

/Rant. You can have your opinion snipel. :hello:

I was just referring to him as Batman, some people just play protagonists better than others. I find him a difficult actor to cheer for, if you will, mostly comes off as brooding and distant which IMO isn't enough to maintain the title character in a trilogy. He's definitely like 10x better when you don't like him like in American Psycho.

TDKR is by far my favorite Batman movie. I cannot even begin to describe how enjoyable it was. The performances were fantastic all around, especially from Tom Hardy and Michael Caine. Surprisingly enough, Anne Hathaway absolutely killed it as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Cannot wait to experience it again.

I can see what you're saying but at the same time. Come on! COME ON!

I think he nails Bruce Wayne WAY better than any Batman before. Honestly, the old movies were good, but the ones are just in a different league all together. The one thing that semi annoys me is the whole voice thing he does with Batman, but still it works. It is a little goofy though. I like Bale enough to see past the minor flaws though. That's me. I'm just a HUGE Christian Bale fan.

thats a flaw of batman/batman writers overall.
