Found this new pedal by Mr Black which I gather is an offshoot of Jack DeVille.
http://www.mrblack.jackdeville.com/supermoon.html
The sound files and youtube videos sound pretty great. I have preordered one. Shipping July 1st.
Seemed like a good price @ $139 preorder plus shipping. Small footprint, badass name and graphic. From what I understand the jacks are sidemounted.

I don't get how Mr Black relates to Jack Deville, but I'm on the fence with this one - I thought the two demos on the site were meh. But Jack's other stuff is fully awesome (and he should be on ILF) so this will no doubt be awesome as well.

Yeah, heard this on FB when they released it. Awesome recording - really makes the pedal shine.

sounds nice... but I won't even consider a reverb pedal unless it has stereo i/o - a no go for me.

:hello:
The Mr. Black line is designed entirely by me.
The pedals all sound killer and are built to the same standard as the black Jack Deville pedals, but are "simpler" without as many bells and whistles, as found on the Jack Deville products.

I'm sorry you weren't totally stoked on the posted clips, and thanks for noting my other works.
I believe the SuperMoon sounds fantastic. It does exceptionally well with the ambient, moody stuff. Eerie, spooky, unusual and engaging. It'll cop some more familiar hall-eque tones with lighter settings, and even get a "crystaline" sound with the Decay knob maxed out and the Sway knob at min.

The project has been consuming much of my life lately. I'll try to get some more sounds up online to highlight some of the other aspects of the SuperMoon.
:)

Sounds great. Does it do the run away oscillating kinda thing?

Thanks for the response Jack - I've listened to the demos again to try and put my finger on what didn't jibe and it's maybe that the tails sit a little funny/prominent in the mix, but what the fuck, I'm listening on shit speakers so it's probably at my end that things sound funny. And as mentioned, you've got a really good ear, and a good head for electronics so I don't doubt the product at all either in terms of sound or build. Cool when builders take the time to address pointless internet criticisms in a serious and informative way. :thumb:

I liked the way it sounds less synthetic than similar reverbs out there.
We shall see...
I am looking forward to hearing some more clips and giving it a go with my other pedals when it arrives in the post.

It seems like it doesn't, which is kinda cool really for the kind of sound this pedal makes. I like the how the verb just kind of lingers, super spacey, super cool.

I was pretty set on a dispatch master, but maybe I don't even need a longer delay with something like this.

SuperMoon won't self-oscillate, however, if you dial the Decay all the way up, and the Sway all the way down, it'll keep running for a LONG time. I mean a LONG time.

Here's a lil snapshot:

That's more what I'd use. Long reverb. Don't need oscillation. I think that maybe my first tat. " does it oscillate".
