such a glorious train wreck.

"19-year-old Frances Bean Cobain has taken over control of the right to her late father Kurt's name, likeness and appearance. The documents show that Love agreed to step down as acting manager of End of Music LLC -- the corporation responsible for generating money from Cobain's publicity rights -- when she received a $2.75 million loan from Frances' trust fund in 2010. Until Love pays the loan back, she won't receive any profits made from her late husband's publicity rights."

i'm not sure which has been more diluted at this point, Kurt's appearance or Courtney's.

I hope that Frances starts to maintain some of Kurt's ideology in his image. After reading his journals, I felt like the amount of shit for sale with his face on it was so completely fucked up.

You can buy his fucking action figure. That's fucked.

just like Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, etc. They're shit is being peddled to the MAX. i think marley even has his own energy drink now?

Cobain Journals are pretty rad. I used it for an assignment back in high school when it came out.

also, I saw an Iggy action figure at Toys R Us a few weeks ago.

Yeah, there are some Bob Marley bottled tea drinks or something that were brought in by a vendor where I work. It said some bullshit on the label like "Put together by Bob Marley's family" etc. etc. Blech. I'm not a Bob Marley fan, but still... just let it go. Like, YOU write some music that changes human history, and YOU put your name on the bottle, you talentless mop.

The Kurt thing is beyond gross, expecially when it's Cuntney Love cashing in on it... which was kind of the point of her courting him anyway!

@Shermy, Who the hell is that even for? Kids don't know who Iggy is. Shit, most of their parents probably don't either.

Actually, it's a relaxation tea. And two of those things will knock you the hell out. Plus they're fucking delicious.
But I agree with the sentiment.

The Jimi thing is disturbing because it's some far-removed blood-but-not-domestic sister who took over his licensing rights and excluded all the family that Jimi actually knew.

At least Iggy is alive to say "yes". But more kids would be into it if he okayed the kung-fu grip.

It could be worse, nobody's stooped to the lowest common denominator yet:

Officially licensed celebrity death toys.

Wind-up Jimi figure convulses! Watch Kurt agonize over which load to use.....

I could go on.

I'm glad you understand, at least before I unveil the Michael Jackson-licensed "Operation" game - it takes a very steady hand, don't touch the sides as you remove ribs and cheekbones and try to shock him back to life from the opiate dreams.

I think you mean Jimi is slipped sleeping pills by a bitch in a hotel room, and Kurt is killed by Courtney's hired hand. :grumpy:

These are officially-licensed products, they won't have the truly ugly versions!

If Cobain wanted to be such an arrr-teest maybe he shouldn't have signed to Geffen and let Andy Wallace mix his record. :idk:
