Random Tremolo demo

Montreal Assembly built this for me last year. I just got around to making a quick demo for it.

(Sorry for the shit sound/playing. My 6 week old daughter was sleeping strapped in a carrier on my chest as I made the demo.)
It's a randomized tremolo. It's good for glitchy, unsettled kind of sounds. I wanted it as a stand-alone device after playing with the random modes of the Hollow Earth and the Tap Tempo Tremolo. The controls are depth, speed, and volume and it has expression control over depth and speed. I put on some reverb and fuzz later in the video to demonstrate some other sounds.
Some of the development was documented in this thread:

Wow I totally want one of those. If you don't mind me asking, was it very expensive?

come for the demo...stay for the backing vocals

so i'm thinking that if you turn the blend way down and the speed really slow it'd do a rather good wow-and-flutter, yes?

I got it in a trade deal but he's always very reasonable in his prices. It seems like he's got more going on now, though, so I don't know if there are any more coming.

Awesome baby loves crazy noises.
Isn't wow and flutter a pitch effect? This only does amplitude. Your comment makes me want to try it in the loop of my Deluxe Memory Boy, though.

ya IIRC i was asking around 125 but then traded for a akai headrush? not sure if i will ever make another but by the end of the summer i should be offering some custom dsp based units well suited for modulation. This one was not dsp, it was based on analog circuit using an LED/LDR like most basic trems are. The random LFO is generated by an MCU, similar to how the hallow earth works only this one has a much simpler program that just does one lfo (since thats all that was asked). the name rand() is due to the syntax of the random integer function call in c.
glad you are happy with it.
