I'm trying to figure out the best way to move with barely any money, and was kind of hoping someone on ILF would let me couchsurf until I can find a job, either for free or mad cheap.

Anyone who can help? Or anyone who's ever done anything like that?

I've heard good things about this site, but I've never used it personally.

Yeah, I actually registered, and I was thinking of using it to see if someone would help me get on my feet in town, but I think the sites more for people traveling and looking for a place to stay for a night.

I know that you're out in the middle of nowhere Upstate, but if you're just looking for someplace better to go Buffalo isn't it. It's just a bigger, more expensive dead end.

Because it's where I'm hoping to go to school for education, and Kate's going to Niagara University. And I've been there a few times and love the area.

God im remembering how much different the rest of New York is from NYC, fuck new york state, sorry, long island and NYC should be their own state

listen to Grandpa for a second...you don't want to hie yourself off to someplace unfamiliar with nowhere to stay, no work, no funds, and no prospects in the middle of a depression. seriously. selling plasma to buy cigarettes is no fun. at least save up SOME money before you try to go someplace.

Buffalo is one of the most depressing places I've ever lived. F'reals.
You've got decent reasons for moving there, UB is a good school...but be prepared.
It's one huge downer...regularly ranks in the top 5-10 in the nation for most depressing/miserable city in America.
