Well Kirkland in reality. Staying with some family.
Here until Wednesday morning then we head down to Portland for a show. Thursday we will be in Corvallis for a tattoo sesh at HPP for the wife.
Gotta pretty full schedule but I may find myself with some down time.
Any of you cool bitches want to meet up for beer or something; send me a PM with deets.
I'm gonna check out Bass NW while I'm here,...would like to check out Trading Musician while I'm here,...but apparently they are closed on Mondays,....and I'm not sure what our plans are for Tuesday.
Bah; who I'm kidding though,...I'm pretty socially awkward IRL. Be prepared to not be entertained.

I can't stand Kirkland. Seattle is way cooler. Even Tacoma is way cooler.
I don't really have anything else to add except this:
http://www.bassnw.com/I've never been to Bass NW, but they have the best website.

I went in there,...they were nice fellas and had some cool shit that they let me try out including this weird prototype 4banger.
http://www.bassnw.com/Used%20Basses/spe ... type_4.htmThey looked at me funny when I said I wanted to upgrade my SS rig to a tube amp. I'm an analog man in a digital world I suppose.

they are BP type dudes... I've had both very good experiences and bad there depending on who was working... I got a cab from them and they wanted to me to try it with the matching head which was SS and I was like ... yeah... how about a real amp..

I have a feeling that they were only interested in pushing what was gonna make them the most money.
Hmmmmm,.....$1000 consignment Ampeg SVT CL (USA made no less).
Or
Brand New $2500 TC Electronics Blacksmith (hybrid [digital I believe] amp something like 1600watts at 4ohms).
I made it quite obvious I was only looking though so they didn't waste time on me,...and it was slow.
I tried that SVT CL though,...sounded good although I didn't get to crank it. Still on the hunt for a 400+. I'm beginning to think I'd settle for a non plus though.
I was actually surprised at the number of vacant shops in Pioneer Square.
Ate some food and got a beer at Anthony's Homeport. It was alright. The Ahi Nachos left a little to be desired. Kobe Sliders were pretty good.
I think we are going to try to make it to the Goodwill near Dearborn and Lane. I'm hoping it's better than the thrift stores in Spokane which all suck.

Last time I was in the Tukwila Guitar Center they had a 400 and a 400+ over in the used section. Both priced the same at $1000. Haven't been back in a while so I can't say whether they're still there, but that 400+ was tempting me pretty hard for a while.

I'll probably just buy a Boogie off of TB when I have the money saved up. I think I can get a better price but those four hundos seem few and far between,...so I'm beginning to look now and should probably actually have the money to spend by mid April.
This is the SVT Mudder. I asked them if it was American made and they specifically said it was a St. Louis owned one.
http://www.bassnw.com/images/Used%20Amp ... CL_999.jpgSVTs seem easier to come by and if I'm honest,...I'd be happy with a newer Chinese made one. I was just surprised they only wanted a grand for an American made one, but I guess people are pricing to sell in this economy. If a Boogie proves too hard to find,....I may just bite the bullet and pick up that SVT if they still have. My main interest in the Boogies is that they are rackmount and would match my rig better,...and I prefer the Mesa sound to the SVT.
I'll probably sell my SS rig locally to help offset the cost of a tube amp once I decide that whatever amp I buy is reliable enough to not need a backup.

I keep reading this thread title as "I'm in Seattle bitches." rather than "I'm in Seattle, bitches!"

Something like that.
We safely made it to PDX,....fucking Highway down from the Eastside was a nightmare though (405 to I5 all the way down some other highways into Oswego where our hotel is at). Lot's of hard sideways rain (wouldn't be a trip to the "coast" if it didn't rain the entire time are here) that made for poor; at times zero, visibility,....which is scary as fuck at highway speeds.
We will go see our show,...then stay the night. Then we are headed to Corvallis where one of my wife's favorite tattoists resides and she'll get some ink on Thursday. Still unsure if we will head back up to Seattle or just head home after the tattoo.

Considering how much rain we get up here there sure are a ton of spots on I5/I405 where it doesn't take much for the water to pool really fucking dangerously.

Yup,...there was some hydroplaning involved.
The worst is when you pass commercial traffic that kick up a 500 foot long roster tail.
