You guys ever have problems with 2007 Macbook Pros?

I hate Apple so much sometimes. My Ipod and my laptop both crapped out in a week. And while the ipod is lost to the world, I think I can save the computer.
So when I hit the on button nothing happens, at all. None of the lights will come on, and the battery indicator LED will not come on either, even after extensive charging. The only thing that shines is the charger light...
The battery seems to be all swollen too? Like it won't fit back into the computer without a struggle.
Anyone have any ideas?

Does it work without the battery in, and just the charger plugged in? My drum teacher also has a Mb pro from the same time period and the battery crapped out.

sounds to me like your battery has bitten the dust. it's gone to meet its maker. if you hadn't stuck it back into place in the computer it'd be pushing up the daisies. it's crossed the veil material. this, sir, is an ex-battery.

check if it works sans battery.
if it does, go to the apple store and raise hell until they replace it for free.
if it doesn't, go to the apple store and raise hell until they replace it for free.

This actually happened to me. The battery had an "event," hence the swelling. The swelling prevents it from exploding (presumably all over your balls.)
Remove it immediately, as the swelled battery could cause potential damage to everything around it. Mine was under warranty when it happened, so they replaced the battery and all was hunky-dory. I guess the best thing you could do is bring it in for them to at least look at it and make sure everything is still working, then check on eBay for a new battery or somesuch.
