i work nights... and have been putting in extra hours because of money/shit/stupid things i did when young...

Yeah man, I work 7-4 every day, but in reality, it's more like 7-5, and I'm basically on-call 24/7. Plus a rotating night shift that I get 2 out of every 5 weeks. 67 hours last week. Fuck that shit. I've had 2 recording sessions in the last 2 months. This shit needs to get a whole lot better, in a fucking hurry.

Fuck I hope you aren't on salary dude. I feel bad when people get overworked like that and not compensated for it.

For me,...no complaints. 3 day weekends and it's slow time at work so I'm pretty much keep to around 30 hours a week. Sucks on the paychecks,...but I like time to relax more than I like money. Work to live not the other way around.

Course I don't have mouths to feed and the wife's job is pretty solid.

almost same here: my child (3 and a half month old) needs so much attention. yesterday i played not even 5 minutes guitar...

I'm a shift worker myself. Causes sleepless nights...like tonight...

40 -50 hours (most ot is not paid for me) every week on swing shift.

I am up at either 3 or 5 am, its been like this for 5 months now but I have nobody to blame but me.

At least it keeps the lights on and mortgage paid.

I was salary until a couple months ago, when they shifted me back to hourly. But my boss tends to be quite a bitch about approving overtime, whether I actually work it or not. So I end up having to negotiate how many hours of overtime I actually get to claim on my timesheet every paycheck.

dude, fucking school from 8-5:20 with like a half hour break between classes on mondays and wednesdays, and then 9- 6:20 on tuesdays and thursdays with a 3 hour break add in work at the school newspaper which i do during the breaks plus until like 2am on wednesday night, work on friday for like 7 hours or so then i get to start the slew of assignments for classes that usually eats up a solid 7 hours or so on the weekends, i'm fucking gone dude

I had been doing about 40-50 hours a week until last week, and I lost one of my jobs yesterday, so it looks like I'll have free time until I can find a factory position or some shit.

hurm. i feel like a dick even writing in this post. i'm on salary, make ok scratch, live about a 20 second walk from my work and work 4 day weeks.

i just need to find someone else i want to play with for me and mah drummer.
