badass movies you have seen

I can't believe there is no thread like this. I actually went back twelve pages through search results and all there was was about netflix or whatever or sex.
Anyway, I have seen two great movies in the last 7 days and that is quite a good quota! Here's them:

The film is a documentary about micro-nations. The director (dorky name: Paul Poet) visited six micro-nations and the movie moves from literal to the abstract. It begins with a visit to The Principality of Sealand which might be the best-known micro-nation (an old Flak platform 8m off the british coast) and then on to another Principality (Hutt River in Australia), the Damahuria nation of fucked up esoteric bullshit, Christiania, the haven for drug pushers and hippies in the middle of Copenhagen, Zegg, which is some nation based around sexual freedom and the sensual, to the swimming cities of La Serenissima which is some art project by american squatter dudes that basically squat the sea or rivers with floats. What I really liked about the movie was that he approached all those people he portrays with respect and leaves the dignity to all of them (even the woman singing a duet with a geranium). I loved the movie and cannot recommend it enough. Unfortunately it's an Austrian director and it might never get screened in the US. Try and get a hold of it, buddies.
The other one is a classic:

It has a lot of similarities with Matrix or Truman Show in the whole "this world is not real" sense. I quite like that in general. Here there is the additional twitch of having implanted memories that make you become someone totally different over night. Also the whole set design was excellent and I loved the old fashioned SFX. Totally worth watching.
