Guess I feel ya there, they are pretentious as hell.
I remember I went to go tell their bassist the show was great and talk about effects (they had octrons and shit!) and I held my hand out to shake his. He was really snobbish so naturally he held his hand out in a douchey half-assed manner. For some reason I aggressively reached for his hand but only caught his finger, and I stood there for a good 4 seconds looking at this guy square in the eye with my hand wrapped around his finger.

nah. i like 'em. i actually cut up a few of their songs so that it didn't have loads of rambley jam-outs, just the parts i dug. surprisingly listenable.
they good. but their og style i have to be taking a long drive or they're great on the plane while reading.

yah. Ulver's good too. i'm not hating on that kind of music, 'cause it so has it's place. but that and a lot of the Godspeed type stuff is good if i have a long thing going on where i can kinda just....... melt into it?
