I have done it numerous times, tell the person who writes your name on the cup a name besides my given one. I also remember someone, somewhere saying something about it in some thread before (Behndy?).
My faves to say are: Raoul, Duke, Dwight Shrute, Jim Halpert, Bubba,Thor and Roscoe.

How about you?

Not exactly the same thing, but one of my best friends in college had this thing he would always do which we always found hilarious. My school was really really lax about checking IDs and shit for exams. So he would just walk into random classes and take their mid-terms and finals, would write these huge essays about completely random shit that have nothing to do with the class, and he would always use the name Jean-Paul Valley (which I know is from comics, but I have no idea what the context is because I was never a comics guy).

He did this all four years we were there, and I remember talking to a TA who was a buddy of mine, who said that when he was grading final exams for Distributed Computing Systems (which was a fucking bastard of a class, by the way), he got this random blue book where someone wrote out this really eloquent and well-written essay about the decline of the comics industry in the 1980's. That nearly killed me.

I never go to Starbucks, but if I did I'd use the name "Aswipé Johnson".

Bueller.

My girlfriend and I use it everywhere, and we always make them say it at least twice.

I get this when I have to write my name. Apparently, my handwriting is just atrocious.

when i get in those situations i like to use Old Testament (or Pentateuch, for the Jewish folks) Biblical names. "Joshua" was always good; "Isaiah" not so much because you always have to spell it.
