hah! i don't even like Radiohead (some of the wannabe-IDM shit they did was pretty cool), but that's awesome.

I can't figure out if they actually get the hard drives to sound like they're saying words or if I'm just subconsciously adding them in since I know the song.

honestly, never really listened to them that much. when they were popular i was in an anti-live-instrument phase. my drummer thinks i'm a moron because i don't like Tool.

Well,....I like Tool,...not to the fanboy extreme to which I love Radiohead.

I do think that Thom Yorke can be a little too annoyingly mellow dramatic but the band as a whole rocks my socks. Except for Pablo Honey,...that record blows.

That said,...that cover of Nude is fraking sweet awesome.

My Drummer will probably love that Floppy Drive vid.

went through my phone, only RadioHead songs i have on there are from Kid A and Amnesiac. i don't really know enough about them or Tool to like or dislike them. i'm better at it now, but i've always purposely avoided the bands my friends have been into. in high school and shit i was going to hear that stuff at parties and trips and on the way to gigs ANYways, so i made a point of trying to find stuff people around me weren't into. and growing up in the Bay Yarea it was all hip hop and Korn and Deftones. i didn't know anybody into weird single person electronic shit.

that and Bjork has always been the greatest of audio joys.

We found a Bjork DVD in the used bin at a Hastings (not sure if you are savvy with Hastings,...but it's basically a not as sucky Barnes and Noble/Borders, but still sucky). It was a DVD that had all of her videos. Don't get me wrong,....I'm not opposed to Bjork,...but fuck; 3 hours of her weird ass vids was torture.

Amnesiac and Kid A are great records, those plus OK Computer have the hits (I'm sure there is more out there).

Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows are worth listening to in their own right, those two are my favorites. Good mix of energetic rock band stuff and electronica,...which is why I love those guys. Their embracing of new tech, combined with old synths,...piano,...Fender Rhodes,...and effects.

You aren't the first person to call me a hipster for liking Radiohead. I think they may be too mainstream to be hipster. Not to mention that I will never claim to like them before it was cool to like them,...because back before Kid A came out I was into bands like Meshuggah and Candiria. Radiohead was for pussies.
