So I recently bought a house in the uninteresting rural Ohio town in which I reside, and I just found out that this dude is my neighbor. And his brother is Jason Martin from the shoegaze-ish outfit Starflyer 59. I just think its super random and awesome. Apparently he has a studio in his basement that is composed of all moog synth gear. I'm hoping we hit it off.

I'm in Ashland, right off of 71 about halfway between Cleveland and Columbus. I guess this dude lived in California his whole life, then he just moved here a year or two ago. He got a job leading worship at a local church. Go figure.

Ha yeah I've gotten that response from a few people around here, like "he seems pretty cool, but you should really see if you can get his brother to come over here and hang out with us..."

I work with a guy who is also a pretty big SF59 fan. Apparently Ronnie and Jason are in a band together called "the Brothers Martin." To me it sounds pretty much like a combination of their two projects: a rock band with a lot of synth. Not bad though.

very cool. I'm definitely more of a SF59 guy (up through TVvsSV anyways), but I went through some JE phases along the way too.

i enjoyed that song tremendously.
