xbox help

My brothers xbox turns on but then not even 30 seconds later it turns off. the power supply light is half green, half red. Anyone know whats wrong? xbox support is no help. hes getting games for Christmas and it'd suck if he had to wait awhile to play them.

No red lights on the Xbox itself? Sounds to me like the power supply, but I could be wrong.

Try taking off the hard drive and reattaching it.

i googled it and only thing i got was that its shorting. the power supply lights up and its not red, just the standby orange color. and its one of the new kinect ones or whatever, hard drive is internal i think? dunno dont have an xbox or play video games myself

so my mom just sent in a repair request. and since my brothers Christmas gifts consist of almost all x-box. she just got him a new one. guess who now has to buy the old repaired one.. there goes my money until about February.

nope, i turn it on, it beeps, center dot is green, 3 seconds later it turns off
