Is there a place on the site to find people to jam with?

It's been a while since I've been in a band, but I'd LOVE to start playing music with other people again.
Craigslist ads are always so weird. And always just want female vocalists from Brooklyn.
Is there somewhere on ILF to find people looking to make music?
I'm in NYC. 27, guitarist or bassist, wide range of interests musically.
Does anyone want to make music?

Craigslist for Boston = Drummer wanted ads
Unfortunately ILF isn't really big enough for this. Depends on your area though. Maybe you'll find somebody.
Also try Bandmix, and Intonation.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Yeah, New York is actually pretty hard to find people with like-minded interests. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

What kind of music? Brooklyn has a pretty good scene right now for just about any kind of metal.

Yeah, I know a lot of cool stuff is going on in Brooklyn, I just don't know how to find people to do it with. I'd be down for anything from punk rock to doomy/riff driven stuff to poppy indie rock. It just seems hard to find people to connect to.
I feel like every time I'm on ILF I'm just like "shit, I'd love to fuck around and write some music with that guy". This community is great.
I'll definitely look into Bandmix and Intonation too.

I'm kinda in the city. As long as you don't mind awkward teens that chain smoke cheap cigarettes and play crappy guitar then I think we'd get along just fine.

There was a thread like this a while back but everybody had to be dicks and shoot the idea down. Shit, I live in the city with so many ILFers we decided to hold ILFest here, but I can't seem to find anyone to play with. Whatever happened to Mathias. He was cool and available(like not in a band y'know).
