Yea, this video is blowing up right now. I was finally forced to familiarize myself with that Skrillex song so I could appreciate the cover. Those guys do a great job for sure with a grasp on gear technology that I'll most likely never explore or possess.

Like DarkAxel points out, with all the Dubstep pedal talk it's hard to believe that Soundblox was left out of discussions. And that ring, WTF? First time I've actually seen one in action. And the bass player's glove?? The questions keep coming.

Word. Does anyone know what that ring thing is? I told my bassist who just bought a Ric 4003 to get a super cheap Squier and put that ring thingy thing in one

Awesome! :!!!:
But I don't really like the triggered sound of the drummers snare... there has to be something better-er...

Probably for better sounding/less scratchy/something to do with slides... It looks like it's made of wool/polyester... Probably "scratches" the strings more than your bare hand... :idk:

EDIT: I found the Bassists channel on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/unoriginalson
He does a lot of dubstep-hot hand stuff...

I've seen a lot of videos where people uses lfo controllers into MF 101's, but the hot hand could actually control the sweep in real time. So there would be no worry about falling out of sync. that is pure sex.

Yeah, unfortunately, they just sold me that it's really the only way to dubstep it up live. Sorry Adam and Devi...now...am I gonna play dubstep live?

Yeah, this must be one of the best ways to accomplish playing dubstep on strang'd instruments. Maybe one day, as technology progresses, I'll even forgive them for playing dubstep.

lulz. fucking. wobble. has been done. for fucking. EVER.

it's so weird to me that now anything with a stutter beat or even an occasional Wahmp WAHMP is Dubstep.

I think what makes it dubstep is people uploading videos with "FILTHY" or "NASTY" after the song title. Otherwise it's Drum And Bass At Quarter Speed.

yeah. think you're right. Half Assed Drill And Bass...... probably...... wouldn't be as good a selling point.

i DO like a lot of what they're doing in that vid OP posted, oh btw........

....... but dayum. that's a LOT of gear to pull off one sound. that i think is going to start annoying people with how much use it's getting. some gooood stuff in there though.

The guitarist is unneeded.
Acoustic drumz... Yeah the triggers are cool and stuff but really... a all electric kit mixed with a sampler ect would be...
