i can sit down with a big hunk of hash in the bowl tonight, cause today sucked ass. worked 12 hrs on a roof today, & id rather be under one than on top of one any day. got home, let my dog outside & he goes to the woods to do his business & gets bit by a copperhead. im pretty sure he's gonna be ok but i was fuckin worried for an hour or so.


so im puttin some tunes on now & firing it up

you better keep a close eye on him. i'd take him to a late-night vet myself...he could get tissue damage from the venom.

Yea yea, copperheads are poisonous yo. Problems can occur if not looked at, the aforementioned tissue damage being one.

i did talk to a vet after it happened. but there is no emergency clinic with in 30 miles of here. ive been icing his leg & giving him some aspirin & benedryl.

i can tell he's in some pain, but the swelling has started to go down. he's still drinking & he was ready for breakfast this morning so i think he'll be fine.

oh & jero, copperheads are venomous, not poisonous. no biggie, but kinda a pet peeve of mine, snakes are some what a passion of mine. its funny, im about the only person i know who wont kill any snakes. even the venomous ones (just relocated a baby copperhead 4 days ago that was in my garden). & this is the second dog ive had thats been bit, first one died though (multiple water moccasin bites).

OK. i figured that with "rattler" in your nick you knew something about snakes; i just wanted to emphasize that your friend be looked after, and i can see you've been on it. i'm just a worrier that way.
