there was an earthquake in colorado...

Initial reports I'm seeing are a 5.9 quake, epicenter was in Louisa, VA

I felt my building shake/sway pretty good. I'm in NJ. And I see friends in NYC felt it as well (Facebook status)

And a 5.3 in Cokedale, CO.

Yeah, that was really weird. It was just a gentle rocking here. Never felt one before.

It's kinda sobering...it wouldn't take much of a quake to level NYC, it's totally not set up for quakes.

i was in the gym when it happened. it was horrible.. i had to leave them all behind. so much blood; i just had to think about myself.

Endicott NY just had a gentle sway to the ground but it was the worst thing to feel.
Kinda made me want to puke.

There is construction going on not too far away so I thought that shaking was due to that haha. Felt pretty weird.

That was fucking weird. I was about to post a thread immediately after it happened, but thought I was crazy. WHAT THE FUCK?! I ran out the front of my building and asked people walking if they felt that...they looked at me like I was crazy and then sat and were amused by the rumblings. I've never experienced this.

Almost in Coney Island now. I thought that I was getting a spout of vertigo, then I saw that the soap bottle on the counter was swaying back and forth.
