Cool idea...but I don't know if I'd bother with all that tweaking and crap after finding something I like.

Tony Levin said he has used in like on five albums so far.. I just can't argue with that, Tony is just so awesome... but then he was back when all he used was a P.. or a Ray...

it probably has more capabilities than shown in the demos i looked at. i'd certainly hope so, because a using a laptop and a computer-to-guitar interface seems like an awfully expensive way to implement a Superswitch.

They said it'll do some odd million different settings

i lost interest in the demo at "and now here's all five pickups in series!" i'm like "you took five minutes to get here? fuck off."

i think this is another case of a company not knowing how to sell a product to a market that may not know how to use it.
what the fuck? you call something a gamechanger but only give it to fucking assholes who have done jack shit to progress guitar playing? i mean jesus
moreover i'm 99% sure that this can/has been done in a much simpler way. maybe not the whole series thing (which actually sounds really cool)
in theory i like the gamechanger a lot, but how its being sold, not so much

I want all 5 pickups to be out of phase and then we'll talk.

Central problem with all these things is that they don't consider how they won't be used in 10 years, and I'm not talking because newer, shinier stuff is out.
Who is going to update these apps and make the USB crap work for eternity?
At least older hardware stuff will work as long as the electronics do.
For the love of fuck, if a manufacturer is going to include a USB thing (and they're nice and all for editing), then they need to also make sure it's usable without it. MIDI lives on for a reason.
I compare it to the various other options out there, and just don't get it.
Of the options out there, I'll stick with slamming a Roland pickup on something, thanks.

This sums up my feelings on the matter.

Watched the bass demo and have to say I'm actually pretty impressed. Is this thing for use in a studio only though? Or will it be good live? That's what's going to sell it. Well plus it's a Musicman...
