i love roast beef, and i also love Arby's. i just don't think of them as the same thing is all. similarly, i like McDonald's hamburgers...i just don't think of them as having any relationship to actual ground beef.

McDonald's Hamburgers are to Ground Beef as Vanilla Ice is to Hip Hop

but you're still viewing one as a derivative of the other. i don't think of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese as having any relationship to an actual cheeseburger at all other than a vague morphological similarity. would an anime version of "Peanuts" really be "Peanuts" any more? it's like Soylent With Cheese.
