As much as I dislike politics, you can't go blaming an entire ideology for an incident probably caused by a single fucked up individual.

Reminds me of how it's not an "assassination attempt" when the politician is a Democrat and the shooter is into the right wing, even though what occurred was the textbook definition of "assassination attempt". No, no, no, then it becomes an attempted murder, or unfortunate incident, which, although true, lack the impact.

I think you can, when the entire political ideology is based on rhetoric of violence. Anyway, the point here is that this is an incidence of domestic terrorism that the press is refusing to call as such because the word terrorism is reserved for the boogieman, not white christians.

I dont think it has much to do with the actual government. BUt there are people in high places who spew hate and misinformation, and people who are even more fucked up act on it.
