If any of you guys are on facebook (and I'd imagine that you are), head on over to check out turntable.fm
My friends and I have been using it quite a bit lately and it's a lot of fun. The existing public rooms are okay but it's really fun if you get a room with a bunch of people you know.

I prefer simple statements to elongated rants. I suggest reading about the evils of facebook to further your enlightenment and to better the insight my thoughtful comment has brought to your highly informative posting. Your sarcasm shows your amazing depth of knowledge.
Also, when I refer to evil I am not using it in the religious supernatural sense of the word, but rather the immorality and depravity sense of the word.

Once everyone's cleared all the sand out of their ladyparts, someone should really explain what the fuck turntable.fm is.

It's in beta stages and is invite only. So unless you wait on their waiting list or have a friend who is in you can't try it. And like most things on facebook it requires you to share all your information, probably for marketing purposes.

So it's like sitting down and listening to records with your friends...
...without sitting down and listening to records with your friends.
Sounds fantastic. I'll bring the e-beers if you grab the e-bong.

Whoops, I knew I was forgetting something when I submitted this thread. It's actually a lot of fun.
I didn't realize it was invite only. If you guys want in, just let me know.

I swear I saw a site exactly like this that didn't require any facebook shenanigans.
Anyway, it was pretty fun.

I can see the advantages of this of you have friends in other cities, but if you're doing this with nearby friends there's something wrong. Real vinyl, real friends, real interaction. Facebook can't compete with that.

It's pretty awesome; although of course there is lots of crap on there.
