If you smoke

Fuck you if you aren't courteous. I walk out of RadioShack and this chick blows smoke right in my face. I start coughing, and not to be a dick, but honestly coughing, and she glares at me. At least say my bad or something, don't just be a bitch

I'm all for smoker's rights, I think its stupid that places try to ban smoking in outdoor places, but douchebags make me reconsider that

some people are just assholes. most smokers wouldn't do that, any more than most people in the bathroom would piss on your foot. i'm just sayin'...i quit smoking years ago, so i have no position to defend.

I'm a smoker, but I do try to be considerate about it. If I'm smoking in public I try to go somewhere out of the way so I won't bother people, and if someone walks by I'll wait a moment to take a puff. And I definitely make sure not to blow smoke towards children.

What I don't get is people who'll come stand near me when I'm already smoking and then start coughing and glaring at me. Seriously, I didn't start smoking in your face, you walked up to me, if you don't like it why are you here?

It was mainly a rant, but yeah, everyone is a douchebag. I hate it when people go out of their way to "prove a point" like go up to a smoker and say smoking is bad. Really? I thought it said "may cause kittens to be born out of your ass" on the surgeon general warning...

I wanna know how people afford to do it. I was a pack/day+ smoker. That would be a lot of $$$ these days

I wanna start smoking so I can be one of those people that were like "I saved 2 grand when I stopped smoking so I bought myself a guitar with the money I saved"

Fuck, I just want a guitar. Jeff Tweedy has a signature SG now :!!!:

One thing I don't think a lot of smokers understand is that some people, especially those that aren't around smoke that often, are more sensitive to it than others. If I'm in a car with a smoker, I'll get a pretty bad headache if it's a long-ish ride. Or if I have to sit with a smoker for dinner... or be in a house with a few smokers... even in restaurants when there's a lot of smokers I have problems (but now there's a smoking ban in public places-- yay!).

So, while smokers might think it's rude to tell them they can't smoke somewhere, IMO it's pretty rude (if unintentionally) to not consider the other people that don't even need you to blow smoke in their face before they get uncomfortable.

I feel the same way about cologne too. Fuck cologne. Perfume's only moderately better. And body spray.

THAT SAID, I don't say anything if I'm riding with someone and they want to smoke, unless it gets bad then I might ask them to roll down the window a little more, or just roll down mine. And people that walk up to smokers just to cough are assholes.

In summary, I'm pretty sensitive to cigarette smoke. I'm sure I'm not the only one. So don't think just because you don't blow the smoke in someone's face you're not bothering anyone.

Yea, I smoked for about 5 years. Stopped completely around age 20. The smell bothers me so much now that I don't smoke anymore, just like it did when I was a kid. My parents thought I would never smoke because of how much I hated it as a child. Even when I still used, never was I a fan of indoor smoking.

Admittedly, I am very sensitive to cigarette smoking and a lot of smells, but to blow smoke in someone's face? You deserve to be beat half to death :animal:

I blew smoke in a friends face once because he was talking shit. Not sure if I ever apologized for that.

I always used to ask people if it was going to bother them if i smoked, and if they objected i refrained even in my own house. why would i deliberately do something to make someone uncomfortable just because i can?

I dunno, there's just something about the look in a mother's eyes as you blow smoke into her kids face...

I was with my friend and she made me go over and talk to her other group of friends. One of them was smoking so I kept a distance and said politely I don't want to smell like smoke. So he blew smoke right in my face. When I called him an asshole he started yelling at me and calling me a douche.

See you messed up by calling him an asshole. Your first reaction should have simply been knocking him the fuzz out.
