there's a decision out there in the Fed Supplements somewhere from the 80s or early 90s--no doubt clerked by a clever intern somewhere in New England--in which all the section headings are quotes from Talking Heads songs. Deadheads are also notorious for embedding that kind of stuff.

oh, i'd do worse than that. i'd name hypotheticals after 60's Formula 1 drivers, French Revolutionaries, and obscure hillbilly singers, and throw in random Surrealist, Situationist, and Brian Eno references just for lulz.

The AMA Style guide (American Medical Association) uses some fun hip-hop lyrics in the section on proper capitalization. They even fixed up the grammar a bit:
There is no party like a West Coast party because a West Coast party doesn't stop.
I stumbled on that one day at work, back when I was managing editor of a medical journal.

A friend of mine had an article published in a hip-hop quarterly--their style guide was fantastic.
