When You feel like it/ if You feel like it, share Your dreams here.
In case You haven't got the foggiest, here's a wikipedia link, go further from there if YOu feel like
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HypnagogiaAnyhow, this morning:
In the dream I was playing on my own at home, practicing a new song. Work in progress known as Squarewave Trumpet of the Apocalypse. I was being taunted with the restless feeling there's something wrong with it - this is what it sounds when I play it, it must have sounded like this in the latest jams but something in it isn't quite right. Concentrating is hard - as it often is, in dreams - but I try to push it and come to think I*m maybe out of tune or doing it in wrong key. Dropped a half step. Sounds a tad more dramatic, and I realize I will have to play it on a lower string now, change a chord or two for it to build up...
The men in trench coats around tell me to stop. No idea if they had been there all the time or not, they were populating the space and I tell them to bugger off and SNAP - it's turned into lucid dreaming. Now that I can do what I like, having reached awareness in the dram, I refuse to let any random dreaming now brake my concentration and play the chord progression harder but careful not to bend the strings, sounds awesome, eye wateringly dramatic and gives me goose bumps - THIS is how I'll do it when I'll wake up!
The men tell me abruptly to stop playing the song of their Client and that I'll be sued for copyright infringement if I'll publish it. OH YEAH TRY ME, FUCKER I spit and decide to send them away, pretty aggressively, now there's my shadow pointing to the door go ahead and follow - NOW! That's when I realize the guy is wearing the detective story outfit on his wings and medieval armor - he is actually the Angel of Apocalypse from Dürers litography. Huh? And they're gone with their warning. Things speed up and SNAP - I'm wide awake sitting iby my sleeping wife in the morning sun.
Yeah, this WILL make on the release for sure

i remember this awesome dream
basically i was suddenly a part of Riverside's lineup for an european tour. we played a really atmospheric show when i suddenly realised i can't play any song so i had to improvise... let's just say that Riverside weren't happy with that

so i found myself abandoned in the middle of slovakia countryside... but out of the blue Steven Wilson came to me, we talked for a while and then he took me home in his personal plane... that he piloted himself
i guess i'm a sucker for modern prog rock bands
yes, i absolutely adore Steven Wilson and everything he does

In my dream I was sleeping, woke up around 6am, got ready for work, took the train to the end where I pick up the bus, was late, still got to work a few minutes early though because the next bus didn't make many stops, worked through the day, went home, made dinner, cleaned up the apartment, etc.
Then I woke up. And did all those same things. About halfway through the dream so far in real life...
This is how my dreams work almost every night. On weekends I dream about making a to-do list of things that need to get done around the apartment. Then I wake up and do that...

I had a dream that all my friends were over, and my girlfriend was rolling joints for everyone. It was a really lovely moment, and we were stoned outta our minds.
My girlfriend doesn't smoke though, and I rarely ever do. And none of the friends that were there smoke. And my girlfriend hates whenever I do. It was truly a dream...I wish it would happen though. Such a good warm moment, real happenin'.

i've found the easiest way to lucid dream (or at least get really vivid dreams) is to set an alarm for a few hours before you need to really wake up. when the alarm goes off, go to the bathroom, do whatever, just do some kinda small task. then go back to sleep. if you've got a habit of doing 'reality checks' in your waking life then doing them in your dreams will seem natural and once you realize you're dreaming you can lucid dreaming easily. reality checks are pretty much small things like pressing your finger into the palm of your hand to see that it doesn't go through, reading something then looking away and looking back to see that the text hasn't changed, looking at a blank spot on the wall to see that the wall color isn't changing, basically noticing and recognizing things that seem impossible or improbable.
it doesn't always work though... sometimes you can still be like 'hey, my friend has three noses that all have teeth but she's always been like that!'

I never had any lucid dreams, most of my dreams repeat: I'll be in a white room with massive breathing shadows shaped like trees with bare branches that pulse to my breathing, moving in and out around me; or I dream of the same girl who speaks in white noise. It's all really fucked up, I haven't had a positive dream I can remember.
Actually, is it lucid dreaming if you recognize that you're in a dream but make no effort to change the dream? My dreams tend to go from realistic to people pull swords out their mouths and anything bounces.

if You keep recording even the vague remembrances up in a dream diary, right after waking up, You can come up with all the things and details You'd forget in five minutes. In case You're interested.
This morning:
got back to sleep on the sofa for half an hour and dreamt I was having a coffee and psychedelic substances with an old friend that actually was to go to rehab today. I told him it's a really, really bad idea to do any of that if he should be trying to get a grip of his habits and leave all substances for some time now. To which he answered to me in some unknown language and changed color with his now visible aura. I was so fucking high right away I couldn't possibly go to work today - oh shit! - I thought, and instead I should try to take care of my friend who was unable to communicate in human language. I was sure they'd understand in the rehab if I told he was now enlightened so it wouldn't matter if he came in high, it was cool, as long as he was high and enlightened.
The dream was fucking funny I'd call my friend the first thing in the morning.

When I called my friend on my way to work to ask how's it going and if he wanted me to come over and take him there - since he was actually supposed to go to rehab today - he answered it was okay, he wouldn't be going. I was already kinda hearing he'd start speaking glossolalia babbling

but instead he just told me his spot he was in queue for wasn't free for him yet after all. What a coincidence.

Hey, bassus, you seem like someone who knows....
about remembering dreams - does every little waking up mess it up? Even those super short when you just look at the clock say something like "fucking shi..." and go back to sleep?

If You really want to remember the dream I would suggest to write at least the keywords down. You can, with a little practice, learn to write the notes even eyes shut and holding a journal on your chest. A friend of mine has got good at this but I find it easier myself to just get up for the few minutes and then go back to sleep
Even if You can remember dreams from before both wakening, it's harder to tell which dream was which, since they tend to get tangled. Writing them down somehow keeps them organised.

I found that the best way to remember my dreams is to - at the moment of waking - simply decide to remember. A conscious focused decision.
Unfortunately it is incredibly rare that I have a dream that isn't just my upcoming day...
