I picked this up from Eric via Ebay. What could it be?

Hmm, only one transistor, no diodes, not sure. What does the switch do? And what is the number on the transistor?

Looks to me like you have a box of pure mojo.

Left knob is volume, center is tone, right is gain.
I can't read the number on the transistor.
The switch adds gain. In one mode, there's almost no dirt; just boost. In the other mode, there's a mild, open sounding drive.

Why does Eric post at HC but not his own forum? Seems kinda lame.

He did give us the Super-Chan deal.
Maybe he's like the kind of dad who loves his kids but doesn't have much to say to them.

Makes me sad... At one time he used to post a lot.

if you could read that transistor, the other two resistors the electrolytic cap, and the box cap, that would be great. I hope we dont get in trouble for this. it might not be an original circuit and its not a production pedal as far as I know so I guess it should be ok. if they want, they can delete this thread.

I'll see if I can get in there with a good light and a little mirror to see what's what.

I'm pretty sure the transistor says 2N5089-K43
The three caps you have labeled 22n read 223J100
The one laying down says 104J100
The resistor that's just north of the transistor is Gold Green Black Brown
The resistor southwest of the transistor is Gold Orange and Black
